Registration is open for both feiseanna on FeisFWD. Both dancers and their schools need an account before registering, and schools will need to be registered before dancers can successfully enter. Note that championship entries have a cap of 115 dancers each day. However, any prelim or championship competitions with fewer than five dancers will continue to accept entries until five competitors have been reached.

Complete your registration for Saturday and/or Sunday by February 20, 2022 to enter our early bird draw to win your registration FREE. Three winners will be drawn: a grades dancer, a championship dancer and an adult dancer.

Registration dates:

  • Early bird contest deadline: February 20, 2022
  • Late fees apply: March 18, 2022
  • Change fees apply: April 1, 2022
  • Last day to register: April 3, 2022

How to register:

  1. Go to https://app.feisfwd.com
  2. If you don’t have an account in the system, select ‘register here’ and fill out the details
  3. Teachers need to select TCRG during registration and once logged in, select My School to create a school profile. This is a one-time task and once a school is created, it will be available on all future events on Feis FWD.
  4. Follow the prompts to register for our feiseanna
  5. After registering, you will notice a download for your competitor card but this is not necessary to do. Competitor cards will be provided to you at the feis venue.

Limited edition apparel
Pre-sales of limited edition apparel have ended. Pre-orders can be picked up at the feis. A small amount of inventory will be available for cash sales at the feiseanna.

Nova Scotia is currently in phase three of its reopening plan in which gathering limits, social distancing and mask restrictions are lifted. There are no vaccine mandates to enter public places, such as the feis venue, any longer. However, some restrictions may remain in high-risk settings like health care should you require those services.

All Nova Scotians and visitors are encouraged to continue to take steps to help protect yourself and your community. Being vaccinated, wearing masks and distancing are recommended but no longer required. We do ask that guests who feel unwell consider staying home.

Please make yourself aware of any restrictions for traveling into Nova Scotia and Canada and make the decision that is best for you. Registrations will be taken up to the day of the feis to accommodate waiting to decide.

Note that figure competitions will not take place for 2022.

In conjunction with our feiseanna, we will be running grade exams for CLRG dancers on Friday, April 1, 2022. Grades prelim through 12 will be offered. Exams will take place at Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy’s studio at 3-325 Rocky Lake Drive. The grade examiner for this session is Russell Beaton, SDCRG.

Registration for these exams is closed as maximum capacity has been reached. Please email acidchamps@gmail.com to be put on a waitlist.

The schedule for exams is available for download. Please note that candidates for grades 9-12 should bring their own set dance music with them. Any candidates who have previously completed exams should forward copies of their past results to Shelley MacDonald.

Come for the dancing but stay for the fun! As part of ACIDC 2022 we are running two social events.

Calling all adult aged dancers and friends. Join us for an informal meet & greet at 7pm on Friday, April 1 to kick-off your ACIDC weekend! Come down to the bar/lounge side of Seaport Social (located within the Westin Nova Scotian) for a drink or snack and to get to know other adult-aged dancers.

Whether you compete in adults, grades or champs, you’re very welcome to come by for the craic.

Let us know you’re coming on our Facebook event.

Join us for fun and fabulous-ness on the Saturday night of the ACIDC. We’ll be running a family game night onsite at The Westin Nova Scotian hosted by Contessa! This event is for all ages so bring the family.

Thanks to great feedback from dancers and families, we have updated this event a little bit. This event will now just be a family fun night with bingo, a photo booth, a post-feis hair contest and fabulous fun with Contessa! Thank you to those who supported the previously planned supper portion of the night. This part of the event is being cancelled and you will be contacted and provided with refunds.

Time: 7:15 p.m. on April 2 (anticipated end 8:30 p.m.) for games, 7 p.m. for movie
Location: Elements Room (lobby level), Westin Nova Scotian

Bingo: Contessa knows how to host a great bingo game from her Cosmic Drag Queen Bingo events so it’s sure to be a fun time. Each player will get three bingo cards, and a chance at three prizes! Bring your own dauber or buy one for $2 (cash only).

Extra fun: Come for the bingo, stay for the photo booth and contests. Contessa will pick the best post-feis-hair-do so come as you are after your day of dancing for a chance to win a prize! Winners of the 50/50 and Tide-y Ambassador contests will also be announced.

Snacks & drinks: Snacks and drinks will be available. Think popcorn, warm pretzels, and a fully-stocked bar for those interested.

FREE movie: We will be showing Riverdance: The Animated Adventure in a room across the hall from Bingo for free for anyone that can’t get enough of this great movie or for parents/older dancers that have a younger dancer they need to entertain while at bingo.

Tickets: Tickets for the games/bingo event are $20 and can be bought online here. All those attending need to have a ticket. Tickets are limited.
