Studio 2 floor build (and other odd jobs)

In Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy

As you may know, we have officially taken over the space next door in unit four for our second studio! There are a few more renovation tasks to get it ready. Once that work is all done it will be time to build the dance floor, and to do that, we need your help!

We’re looking for volunteers from our dance community on December 2 and 3 to help build our sprung floor for the new studio. Ideally we’re looking for folks who own a drill and feel comfortable using it. That said, not everyone will need to use a drill, some work will involve lifting or cutting or cleaning. We will also have a list of other odd jobs to get the new space ready so there will be lots to do if people are keen to help. Think IKEA furniture assembly.

We will have a lead foreman who will provide all direction and oversight and make the jobs easy for everyone. Laura and/or Becky will be around all weekend too. We’ll take moms, dads, aunts, uncles, husbands, wives, cousins, friends—anyone who wants to help. Volunteers are welcome to sign-up for multiple shifts 🙂

As a note, our current studio in unit 3 will be running classes as normal on the Saturday.
